This Programme is designed to equip students with the competencies required to carry out safely the watch keeping duties of an Officer in charge of a Navigational Watch, both at sea and in port.

The Training Programme is provided by Institute of Maritime Education & Training Pvt. Ltd, Australia (hereinafter referred to as IMETA). The Programme and the Certificate of Competency offered to the students will be as per the requirements of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (hereinafter referred to as AMSA).

We provide STCW 2010 APPROVED BY DG SHIPPING (GOVT. OF INDIA) AND INDIAN CDC WILL BE PROVIDED.

This programme is being offered as per follows:

Phase I :- 4-Month Pre-Sea Training being conducted AT The Maritime Academy, at their campus at Morni Hills (Panchkula, Chandigarh), Haryana, India

Phase II :- 24 month qualifying sea service, along with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) approved Distance Learning Programme. The sponsorship for shipboard Training is provided by TMC Shipping Pvt Ltd.(RPSL-NO-MUM-423, issued by Director General Shipping of INDIA).

Phase III :- A 10-month study and examination period at Australia for 2nd mate COC.

12th Pass (PCM,PCB,Commerce and 10+3 Diploma) & English 40% Above

Age

17 years, or above

Medical and Eye Sight Requirements

Medical and Eye sight requirements shall be as per the existing standards of AMSA.

Issue of Certificates:-

a) At the completion of PHASE I, TMA & IMETA will jointly issue a Certificate in Transport and Distribution (Deck Watch-keeper) to each student who has successfully completed Phase I of the programme With DLP.

b) At the completion of PHASE II (24 month seatime) , IMETA shall issue a certificate of completion of DLP to each student who has successfully completed the DLP Assignments.

c) At the completion of the PHASE III of this programme, including all assessments and mandatory/other courses, the student shall be issued with a Class 3 Certificate of Competency (Deck) by AMSA.
