Certificate of Transport & Distribution Deck Watch keeper (AUSTRALIA)

This Programme is designed to equip students with the competencies required to carry out safely the watch keeping duties of an Officer in charge of a Navigational Watch, at Sea.

The Pre Sea Training Programme is provided by TMA - The Maritime Academy.Approved by IMETA – (AMSA).

STCW 2010- D.G Shipping Approved & INDIAN CDC will be provided by TMA.

Certificate of Competency programme offered to the students will be as per the requirements of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA).

Eligibility :-

12th Pass (PCM, PCB,Commerce and 10+3 year Diploma) & English 40% Above

Age:-

17 years, or above

Medical and Eye Sight Requirements:-

Medical and Eye sight requirements shall be as per the existing standards of D.G Shipping INDIA.

Career Progression Chart:-

6 Months (4 month Pre-Sea Training at the Academy+ 2 month STCW 2010 & Documentation)


24 Months (On Board Ship Training ) Stipend: USD 250 to USD 350 p/m

IV. Indemnity for Personal Safety (to be typed in Rs. 20/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper duly signed by you and your Parent/Guardian)
V. Medical Fitness Report by DG Shipping Approved Doctor
VI. Passport Size Photographs – 4
VII. Parents/ Guardians Passport size Photograph – 1

Procedure for Booking of Seats, Important Dates for Admission & Joining

1. The interested candidates can book their seats by downloading the application form from the website (or) can be collected directly from the office.

2. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can reserve your seat by sending Reservation fee of Rs.50,000/- by DD(Demand Draft) in favour of “TMC Foundation - The Maritime Academy ” Payable at Panchkula. (Please verify your eye sight before reserve your seat). Reservation Receipt will be sent immediately. The Balance course fee has to be paid as intimated by the Academy.

3. The Course Commences at two time in a year (February/March & Aug/Sep) Contact the Office for the reservation of your seat to the Respective session..

D.Campus Placement:

The students who perform wellwill be selected by the shipping companies either throughcampus interview or by appearing examination conducted by the shipping companies.
