Principal's Message

Historian, Edmund Gibbon Said, “The wind and the waves are always on the side of the ablest navigator.”

At The Maritime Academy, we aim to create many such able Navigators to take on the challenge and experience the adventure that a career at sea promises. We provide students a learning experience which empowers them to take up a number of careers in merchant navy. Apart from knowledge we equip our students with emotional as well as physical strength needed to cope with life aboard a shipping vessel.

Our teaching as well as non-teaching staff works with dedication and diligence to provide the best training and facilities to these future sailors. We aim to make our students ready for working on ships with ability to make choices, be self-motivated and take responsibility for self and others.

The education curriculum is all encompassing and covers into its sphere a lot of soft skills as well as ship related knowledge. The focus is on the holistic development of our pupils into well-adapted, physically fit sailors. When you walk out you would be a sailor-that’s what we are working on.
